Hello everyone! Let me begin by saying it was great to see all of you again! However, my wife’s (Tiffany) camera was misplaced. It was a Kodak EasyShare DX4530 that was left at the reunion on Saturday. It was last seen after the group picture was taken. It has a craked LCD screen. We have contacted the Convention Center (and of course) none of the workers found one and turned it in. Tiffany REALLY needs it for work. If you happen to be holding onto it waiting for someone to claim it, please call 540-907-2018. Also, if you happen to have any info about it, please give my wife, Tiffany, a call. We will be more than happy to reimburse you for the shipping etc! Thanks! I hope everyone made it home safely! T
An Update! David Land found the camera, but didn’t know who it belonged to. Land is moving to Japan, so he sent it to David Fron. Fron didn’t know who it belonged to, so he emailed Chris Simmons. Simmons had been talking to Thomas Prine and his wife about their missing camera, so Simmons called Prine to tell him to call Fron about the camera that Land had found. Prine calls Fron and discovers it is his camera. Now the camera is on its way to Prine from Fron. The End.

Thomas Prine and I are planning an informal gathering at the VFW Fish Camp near Paul B Johnson State Park. It will be BYOB and if you want to grill out some food, there are grills available. All are welcome and encouraged to come by. Bring the family if you like. There is even a catfish pond for those who wish to do some fishing. Again, it is open to all. Just some late afternoon R & R. Specifics are below.

Countdown To July 22, 2006, at 7:00 PM:
Howdy folks. I’ve been thinking about all of this and thought I would write a little about it. A buddy of mine couldn’t understand why I was looking forward to my class reunion. He graduated from a class of around 600. Most of his class was made up of students coming from several different middle schools/jr highs. He knew his group of friends and that was about it. Then I explained that my graduating class was small and that significant number of us had been in school together for many years. Some of us for all twelve school years. Granted, not many of us were close. We definitely had our cliques. If you had asked me in 2001 if I wanted to go to our class reunion, I would’ve turned it down. Not for any percieved slights or long-held grudges, just because I didn’t care. Then I “found” our old classmate Thomas. I’ve known Thomas since kindergarten. We had lost touch after graduation for various reasons, none of which are important anymore. Since graduation, I’ve ran into a few of our classmates and regardless of what our relationship was in high school, it always felt good to see a familiar face and to catch up. After finding Thomas again, I started to think that maybe this whole reunion thing wasn’t such a bad idea. Which brings me back to this post.
Most of us have known each other longer than just about anybody else and this could possibly be the only opportunity to catch up. Now, I know some of you could care less. I understand that. I really do, but I’d ask you to reconsider. If for only this one time. In the year that I’ve been involved with this I’ve spoken to many classmates by phone or email. Some that I had little or no contact with in high school and it felt good to talk. I promise you that you’ll be amazed at how some of us have changed. Please come if you can.
I know that some of you can’t come. Life does tend to get in the way sometimes, doesn’t it? If you can’t attend the reunion or just decide that you don’t care enough to attend, at the very least forward your questionaire to us. Bring us up to date with your life and we’ll bring you up to date with ours. I know some, if not most, of you have got to be as curious about it all as I am.
By the way, if you have any questions, gripes or whatever then send me an email. I’ll be happy to let you know what I know.

Mark your calendars!! The first ever reunion for the Oak Grove High School of 1991 has been set for Saturday, July 22, 2006, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi! We are so excited about this weekend and what we have planned. We truly hope that everyone will attend!
Okay, here we go. . . The reunion will be at the Hattiesburg/Lake Terrace Convention Center at 7:00 p.m. We will have a Southern Buffet for dinner, a cash bar and a D.J. for dancing (1980s and 1990s music…of course). The cost is $50 per person. We accept checks made out to OGHS Class of 1991 and will mail/email a receipt to you as soon as we receive your payment. This amount will cover the cost of the convention center, food, decorations, entertainment, and reunion keepsakes. The dress for the reunion is dressy casual. It is going to be a blast!
We have also attached a questionnaire that we hope you will take the time to fill out. This information will be compiled in a “book” that we will hand out at the end of the night. Please include the questinnaire along with your money for the reunion. For those of you who will not be able to make the reunion, we still would like for you to fill out the questionnaire. We will mail you a “book” once the reunion is over.
